On April 19, 2024, Futuress co-director Maya Ober shared some behind-the-scenes of Futuress within the Type Electives lecture series! Type Electives is an online design school offering live online classes focused on letterforms and creative technology. As a space for discourse around type as culture and industry, it aims to form a more inclusive and equitable future in type and design.
The lecture “Futuress Unveiled: On Hopes, Struggles, and Possibilities of Feminist Practices” discussed the collaborative efforts that underpin the platform, and shed light on the community dynamics and collaborations encompassing the struggles, possibilities, and hopes inherent in feminist work.
